Small Groups
Small Groups are an essential part of the United Methodist History and Connection. All are welcome to join in any long or short term group. For more information on any group, please click here to email our church office.
Adult Small Groups​
Small Groups are always forming at First UMC Watseka. We have small groups that invest their time, talent and interests in service tasks, activities. Groups meet both long-term and short-term. The United Women in Faith meet quarterly.

Short-term groups are typically seasonal. Lenten & Advent Bible Studies, Chancel Choir, & Bell Choir meet each month Labor Day to Memorial Day.
The Holy Stitchers Stitching Ministry meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month all year. They meet to stitch and make projects together. Things they have done in the past are prayer pockets, prayer shawls and blankets, Memory Bears, Memory Pillows & Comfort Bears. The Holy Stitchers use their talents to help support and bring comfort to those who are going through a difficult time and let them know that they are not alone and are loved.

Children's Small Groups​
Small Groups for children meet weekly at First UMC Watseka on Sunday mornings after Children's Time during our Sunday Morning Worship Service. September through May the children meet for a traditional bible story-based focused small group. Crafts and games help teach the children the great stories of both Old and New Testament with a Wesleyan lens.

The nursery will remain open through the summer, May through September, with an attendant, but it will not be Sunday School, so only children 5 years of age and younger should plan to attend.
